Dr N. Eda Erçin serves as a Lecturer in Contemporary Theatre and Performance at the School of the Arts, York St John University since 2022. With a practice-based PhD in Drama from the University of Exeter and MA in Performance Studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, her work bridges psychophysical performance, postdramatic theatre, and ecological justice.

Her research explores intersections between body, ecology, identity, and performance, employing phenomenological, autoethnographic, and audiovisual methodologies. She contributes to international projects like the AHRC-funded Judaica Project: A Laboratory of Songwork and co-edits key journals in the field.
Recent works examine ecoperformance through multimedia installations and digital adaptations of literary texts during global crises. As coordinator of Year 1 modules and supervisor for MA projects, she leads interdisciplinary collaborations in the university's Living Lab network.
