Pei-I Wang is an Assistant Professor of Keyboard Studies and Coordinator of Keyboard Studies at Millikin University's School of Music in Decatur, Illinois.
Her educational background includes a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Literature and a Master of Music in Vocal Coaching and Accompanying from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as master's and bachelor's degrees in music from Soochow University in Taiwan.
Dr. Wang specializes in piano performance with expertise spanning contemporary music, rare masterworks, and vocal accompanying. Her research integrates historical performance practices with modern repertoire, evidenced by her Naxos-released recording of Carl Czerny's works and performances at festivals like the Midwest Composers Symposium and Electronic Music Festival. She actively promotes new music through collaborations with contemporary composers.
Dr. Wang has received several awards, including:

As an educator, she mentors award-winning students in national competitions across the US and Taiwan, and directs summer programs at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and Millikin Piano Camp. Her teaching encompasses applied piano, class piano, and keyboard accompanying.
She maintains active leadership in professional organizations including the American Liszt Society, College Music Society, and Music Teachers National Association, currently serving as Secretary-Treasurer of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association and President of the Decatur Area Music Teachers Association.
