Paweł Łowicki is a cognitive psychologist and Research Fellow at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw. He holds a Ph.D. from the same institution (2020) and conducted research as a visiting fellow at Duke University (USA). His work focuses on cognitive and socio-emotional correlates of religiosity, blending classical psychological methods with insights from the cognitive science of religion (CSR).

Research interests include understanding how personal traits like mentalization and empathy influence belief in God, and the psychological consequences of religiosity. As a Principal Investigator, he manages grants exploring secularizing societies and prosocial behavior linked to religious ideology. Collaborative projects emphasize interdisciplinary approaches to religion’s psychological foundations.
