Pawan Budhwar is the 50th Anniversary Professor of International HRM at Aston Business School and Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor International at Aston University, UK. Formerly the Head/Dean of Aston Business School (2020-2023), he holds visiting faculty roles at The American College of Greece (ACG). His research focuses on strategic and international HRM, AI applications in HR, and emerging markets (particularly India). He is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Human Resource Management Journal and Co-Vice Chair Research & Publications for the British Academy of Management.
His contributions include over 160 journal articles, 30+ books, and significant advisory roles such as a 6-year tenure with the Commonwealth Commission. He has secured millions in research grants and received prestigious awards including the 2022 International Federation of Scholarly Management Award and the 2021 British Academy of Management Medal for Research Leadership.
Recent publications highlight AI’s impact on HRM, presenteeism challenges, and employee experience in digitalized ecosystems. His work bridges HR strategy with technological advancements, emphasizing global and ethical implications.
