Paula Vasara is a Researcher at the Department of Social Sciences and Philosophy, affiliated with the School of Wellbeing at the University of Jyväskylä. She is actively involved in the Centre of Excellence in Research on Ageing and Care (CoE AgeCare) (2018–2025). Her work focuses on:
- Ageing populations and housing pathways
- Communal living and participation
- Digitalisation and technologisation in care
- Case management practices for older adults
Her recent research includes the MediaRoboLit 65+ project examining robot literacy among seniors and the IPO project developing case management systems. She has contributed to:
- Understanding ethical dilemmas in care work
- Resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic
- Hidden aspects of care practices
