Paula Henrikson is Professor of Literature at the Department of Literature and Rhetoric, Uppsala University, and serves as Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Arts with special responsibility for research and PhD studies. Her academic career spans prestigious research fellowships including positions funded by the Swedish Research Council, Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, and Riksbankens Jubileumsfond.

Henrikson's research focuses on literature from the eighteenth century to the present, with particular expertise in romanticism, poetry, drama, ecocriticism, environmental humanities, travel literature, textual criticism, philology, book history, and media history. Her current projects include a book on ecocriticism and contemporary Swedish poetry and research on transnational dimensions of early nineteenth-century literature, particularly Swedish philhellenism, classical reception, and intellectual networks.
Her recent publications demonstrate a consistent focus on Nordic literary traditions, classical reception, and the intersections between environmental thought and literary production. The works span from detailed textual studies of specific authors like Stagnelius and Almqvist to broader theoretical examinations of temporalities in travel writing and contemporary poetic forms.
