Notable projects include studies on Magnus Rönnow’s war poetry, Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s reception in Sweden, and the role of Latin disputations in early modern academia.
Elena has contributed to interdisciplinary conferences and edited volumes, such as The Annual Conference of the Classical Association of Canada and Boreas Rising. Her publications span journals like Interfaces: A Journal of Medieval European Literatures and Historisk Tidskrift, reflecting her expertise in historical textual criticism and cultural history.
Her recent book Rousseau och religionen (2024) examines Enlightenment-era Swedish interpretations of Émile, while her 2025 work on German early modern literary lexicons highlights her transnational research scope. She actively reviews scholarly publications across multiple disciplines, including Swedish and European intellectual history.
