Paul Tiwana

Paul Tiwana serves as the Francis J. Reichmann Professor and Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within the College of Dentistry at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, concurrently holding a Professor of Surgery appointment in the College of Medicine. Previously, he directed the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School/Parkland Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Tiwana specializes in craniofacial reconstruction, with clinical and research emphasis on facial trauma management, orthognathic procedures, and pediatric cleft interventions. His work advances tissue regeneration techniques for craniofacial complexes, reflected in over 75 publications and editorial leadership of the internationally translated Atlas of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Pediatric Craniomaxillofacial Surgery from the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.

His leadership extends to the Osteoscience Foundation board and the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (elected Director, 2020).
