Paul Sealey is an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham's School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, where he teaches and leads key postgraduate programs in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He joined the university in October 2023 after a prior academic role at Coventry University and extensive clinical experience in the NHS.

Paul Sealey specializes in musculoskeletal physiotherapy with a focus on shoulder rehabilitation and the assessment and conservative management of rotator cuff related shoulder pain. His expertise extends to advanced manipulative techniques and the development of innovative clinical education programs, including the first nationally recognized First Contact Practitioner course funded by Health Education England.
His educational background includes a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy (2005), an MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy (Neuromusculoskeletal) from King’s College London (2013), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education from Coventry University (2020). He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP).
Paul has received notable recognitions including the MACP Student Award in 2013 and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2020.
