Rachael Bewes is a Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Bournemouth University. She holds a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy (University of Liverpool, 1999), an MSc in Rehabilitation (Oxford Brookes University, 2008), and a PGCE in Higher Education (Bournemouth University, 2009). Her clinical background includes extensive experience in London's NHS at basic and senior grades, specializing in rehabilitation and intensive care.

Her research focuses on sensorimotor control in the shoulder, with publications on accelerometer-based assessment methods and joint position sense quantification. Currently pursuing doctoral studies on shoulder sensorimotor control, she contributes to curriculum development in the undergraduate BSc(Hons) Physiotherapy programme.
