Professor Paul Lacaze is a leading researcher at the Victorian Heart Institute (VHI) at Monash University, holding a NHMRC Investigator Leadership Grant and Heart Foundation Future Leader Fellowship. He is the Chief Investigator A (CIA) of the DNA Screen national pilot study, which provides preventive population DNA screening for 10,000 healthy adults, and the A-GLIMMER project, monitoring Australia’s moratorium on genetic test use in life insurance. Lacaze leads the genomics program for the ASPREE study, the nation’s largest aging cohort trial. His research spans large-scale genomic cohort studies, ethical/legal/social implications of genomics, and preventative cardiovascular strategies.
