Prof Paul K. Jones is an Honorary Professor of Sociology at The Australian National University's School of Sociology. He has authored influential books like "Critical Theory and Demagogic Populism" (2020) and served on editorial boards including Cultural Sociology. Jones has held visiting fellowships at institutions such as the London School of Economics and Cambridge University. His work bridges sociology with political communication, examining media systems' roles in shaping public discourse. He has supervised over 20 PhD candidates, including studies on populism, digital media, and global city branding.
