Paul H. Park, MD, MSc is an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and Affiliate in the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine. He holds roles as Associate Scientist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Division of Global Health Equity and Senior Director of Programs at Solid Ground (Seattle, WA). His work focuses on non-communicable disease (NCD) management systems in low-resource settings, chronic disease implementation science, and health equity. Dr. Park has extensive experience in Rwanda, including roles as Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Chronic Disease at Partners In Health and leadership in the NCD Synergies project implementing PEN-Plus care models across multiple countries. He also practiced primary care in Navajo Nation and currently engages in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in Washington state. His academic contributions span global surgery, health systems strengthening, and community-based care delivery innovation.
Education: MD from Indiana University School of Medicine, MSc in Global Health from Duke University, and dual residency in Internal Medicine and Global Health at Duke. He founded Timmy Global Health’s Guatemalan partnership and served on Universities Allied for Essential Medicines’ board. His research emphasizes scalable NCD interventions, including diabetes management in Malawi and Rwanda, pediatric surgical infrastructure in Africa, and cost-effectiveness analyses of healthcare system upgrades.
Key professional roles include leadership in Solid Ground’s social services and advocacy programs addressing housing, food security, and health access. His work bridges clinical practice, policy advocacy, and implementation research to advance equitable healthcare models in both domestic and global contexts.
