Paul E. Schofield is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Bates College. His research focuses on moral and political philosophy, the philosophy of film, and issues of social justice. He holds a PhD from Harvard University (2013), an MA from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2005), and a BA from University of Notre Dame (2002). His 2021 book Duty to Self: Moral, Political, and Legal Self-Relation explores ethical and legal dimensions of self-identity.
