Paul Dunlap is a Professor in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of North Georgia (UNG), located on the Dahlonega Campus. He oversees the photography program, which includes instruction in 35mm black and white film, darkroom processing, digital photography, large format camera techniques, and 19th-century photographic processes. Dunlap also serves as Accreditation Coordinator, managing the department’s accreditation with the National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD).

Research & Creative Work: Dunlap’s creative practice focuses on Appalachian Studies, blending traditional photographic processes with digital approaches. Publications & Exhibitions: His work appeared in Black & White Magazine (2020) and the UNG Faculty Exhibition (2020). He emphasizes interdisciplinary exploration, combining historical techniques with modern digital methods.

Teaching & Service: Dunlap teaches courses such as Introduction to Photography, Alternative Photographic Processes, and Senior Capstone Exhibition.
