Paul D'Angelo is a Professor of Communication, Journalism, and Film at The College of New Jersey's School of the Arts and Communication. He is a leading international scholar in news framing analysis, with a focus on intersections between mass communication and political communication. His work explores media politics, mediatization, and press priming models.

His research spans news framing theory, media effects on democratic processes, and historical roots of communication studies in politics and journalism. Recent projects examine climate change framing through extreme weather coverage and critical incidents in journalism ethics.
Professor D'Angelo teaches courses ranging from introductory communication theory to advanced mass media effects and quantitative research methods. He has served on editorial boards of four major communication journals and reviewed for over 30 additional journals.
