Paul Begin is a Professor of Hispanic Studies and Associate Dean of Curriculum and General Education at Seaver College, Pepperdine University. He holds a PhD and MA in Spanish from the University of Virginia (2006 and 2002) and a BA in Spanish from Pepperdine University (1999). His academic work bridges Hispanic literature, cinema, and cultural studies.
Research Interests: Begin specializes in Spanish cinema, particularly the works of Luis Buñuel, and explores themes of surrealism, social issues, and ethical representation in film.
