Paul Abela is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Acadia University. He holds a D.Phil. from Oxford University, an M.A. from Queen's University, and a B.A. from the University of Toronto. His research focuses on Kantian epistemology, moral theory, environmental philosophy, and the Philosophy of Science. He is actively involved in the Environmental and Sustainability Studies Program and the M.A. Program in Social and Political Thought.
He teaches numerous philosophy courses including PHIL 1106, 1113, 2016, and others. His office is located in BAC 319, and his contact hours are Monday 2:00-4:00pm and Thursday 1:00-3:00pm. His work bridges classical philosophy with contemporary issues in environmental ethics and socio-political thought.
