Patrizia Hoyer

Patrizia Hoyer is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Organization Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Network Institute, and OPOS (Organization & Processes of Organizing in Society). Her research focuses on career identity, elite work contexts, global mobility, AI's impact on professionals, and workplace dynamics. She holds a PhD from the University of St. Gallen (2014), with prior degrees from the London School of Economics and Richmond University.

Her teaching spans 13 courses across bachelor, master, PhD, MBA, and executive levels, including program coordination for Culture, Organization and Management (100 students) and Beleid, Communicatie en Organisatie (200 students). She emphasizes experiential learning to foster critical thinking and ethical leadership.

Recent work explores AI in clinical decision-making, workplace friendship dynamics, and identity struggles among ex-consultants. She leads the 'Wellbeing in Crisis' project (2023–2027) and organizes conferences on organizational discourse and psychology.
