Claudia Nagel

Claudia Nagel is a Full Professor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, holding positions in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Network Institute, and the Organization & Processes of Organizing in Society (OPOS) research group. She specializes in organizational psychology, leadership, and psychodynamic theory. Her academic qualifications include a PhD in Organizational Psychology and an MSc in Business Administration.

Her research focuses on leadership dynamics, emotional transcendence in organizations, public-private partnerships, and crisis management. She has published extensively on topics such as hybrid organizations, paradoxical tensions in coopetition, and the psychodynamics of hope and identity in crises. Notable works include Leading with Depth: The Impact of Emotions and Relationships on Leadership (2023) and studies on emotional transcendence in Dutch public-private partnerships.
