Patrick Quinn is an Adjunct Professor in the Music Department at Susquehanna University. He is completing a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in bassoon performance at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Previously, he earned a Master of Music (MM) from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Music (BM) from Oklahoma State University. He also holds an honors degree in orchestral conducting from Charles Darwin University in Darwin, Australia, where he served as assistant conductor of the Darwin Symphony Orchestra.

His research and professional interests include bassoon performance, orchestral conducting, and music education. Quinn has taught in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s “Orchkids” program, focusing on inner-city music education, for which he received the 2014 Diversity in Youth Leadership Education award. He performs freelance with groups like the Oregon Symphony, Alarm Will Sound, and the Occasional Symphony, and participates in Classical Revolution Baltimore.
He has collaborated with notable ensembles and lectured on topics such as fear in classical music at TEDxMidAtlantic (2012). His primary mentors include Philip Kolker, Evan Kuhlmann, Stephane Levesque, Susie Brown, and Joseph Daigle.
