Dr. Patrick Porter is a Professor and Extension Entomologist at Texas A&M University's College of Agriculture & Life Sciences, based in Lubbock with 25 years of service. His expertise encompasses insect resistance management in transgenic crops (corn, sorghum, alfalfa, wheat) and stored grain protection.
Research focuses on developing integrated pest management (IPM) strategies for agricultural systems, with specialization in resistance monitoring, field evaluation of control methods, and implementation of sustainable practices. Additional expertise includes insect photography for documentation and educational outreach.
