Patrick Flavin serves as the Bob Bullock Professor and Interim Chair in the Department of Political Science at Baylor University's College of Arts & Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a B.A. from the University of St. Thomas. His research examines political inequality, policy impacts on quality of life, state politics, and political behavior.
Dr. Flavin teaches courses including American National Government, Scope and Methods of Political Science, American Public Policy, Legislative Process, and Political Behavior. His research has been published in premier journals like the American Journal of Political Science and Journal of Politics.
He directs Baylor's Washington D.C. Internship Program, Texas Legislative Internship Program, and Criminal Justice Minor, while serving as faculty advisor for Pi Sigma Alpha honor society. His extensive publication record demonstrates consistent focus on democratic responsiveness and political equality.
