David D. Corey is a Professor of Political Science in the Honors Program and Director of Baylor in Washington, D.C. He is affiliated with the Department of Political Science and the Philosophy Department at Baylor University, part of the College of Arts & Sciences. Corey earned his B.A. in Classics and B.Mus. from Oberlin College/Conservatory, followed by M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Louisiana State University. His research focuses on Political Philosophy, History of Political Thought, American Political Thought, Philosophical Study of Liberalism, and the Just War Tradition. He has authored influential works such as The Sophists in Plato's Dialogues and The Just War Tradition.

He currently directs the Baylor in Washington program and is completing a book titled The Politics of War and the Politics of Peace.
