Patricia Bardon is a Professor of Vocal Studies at the Royal College of Music. An acclaimed Irish mezzo-soprano, she is the youngest ever prize-winner of the Cardiff Singer of the World Competition. Her distinguished career encompasses opera and concert performances ranging from Baroque to Rossini and Wagner, collaborating with conductors including James Levine, Bernard Haitink, and Sir Antonio Pappano.
Her research focuses on operatic performance practice spanning Baroque, Bel Canto, and contemporary repertoire. She specializes in dramatic vocal interpretation across diverse historical periods and styles.
Major honors include multiple Laurence Olivier Award nominations for operatic performances and participation in the Grammy-winning production of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen at the Metropolitan Opera.
