Pat Snow is a part-time Lecturer at the University of Alabama, specializing in Studio Art. He holds an MFA from the University of Arizona (1993) and a BFA from the University of Alabama (1990). His work focuses on narrative-driven art, blending Southern folk traditions with contemporary techniques. Snow’s practice incorporates text, painting, sculpture, and installations to explore memory, identity, and social themes. Key exhibitions include 'Monologue' (2014), 'Wintersnow Snowinters' (2013), and 'True Story' (2012), showcasing his collaborative and solo projects. He has been awarded multiple grants from the Alabama State Council on the Arts (2010–2011) and recognized in Austin’s Top 10 Visual Art list (2013). Snow’s influences include artists like Robert Colescott and Howard Finster, and writers such as William Faulkner and Richard Pryor. His art critiques societal norms through humor and personal storytelling, often drawing from Southern vernacular and historical narratives.
