Pasquale De Toro

Pasquale De Toro is an Associate Professor of Appraisal and Evaluation (SSD ICAR/22) at the Department of Architecture, University of Naples Federico II, and an Associate of CNR-IRISS since 2018. He also serves as Director of the "Alberto Calza Bini" Interdepartmental Research Center in Urban Planning.

De Toro's research focuses on Decision Support Systems development in architectural, urban, and environmental fields. His work integrates economic and multi-criteria evaluation methods and tools, with special emphasis on multidimensional evaluation approaches using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support decision-making at urban and regional scales. His specific research interests include urban metabolism, real estate market analysis, city-port area interactions, and ecosystem services.

As a prolific scholar, De Toro is the author or co-author of over 150 publications in scientific journals, volumes, and conference proceedings. His editorial leadership includes serving as Editor-in-Chief of "Le Valutazioni Ambientali" and Co-Editor-in-Chief of "BDC," a Class A journal in the ASN. He also contributes to several other scholarly journals as a member of their editorial or scientific committees.
