Dr. Barbara Di Toro is a faculty member in the Voice program at Temple Music Prep, an affiliate of the Boyer College of Music and Dance at Temple University. She holds a Doctor of Education in higher education administration and advanced degrees in voice performance.
Her educational background includes:
- BA in elementary education from Holy Family University
- BM in voice performance from Temple University
- MM in voice performance from Temple University
- EdD in higher education administration from Temple University
Dr. Di Toro's professional expertise spans voice performance, opera, music education, and higher education administration. As a performer, she has appeared at the Piano on the Rocks International Festival in Sedona, AZ, performed with Temple Opera Theater, Delaware Valley Opera, and Buck-Mont Opera Company, and served as soprano section leader at Wyncote Calvary Presbyterian Church. Her pedagogical approach integrates vocal technique with performance artistry.
Dr. Di Toro serves on the board of the Children’s Opera Box and Boyer College Alumni Association, and is a member of the Musical Fund Society of Philadelphia. Previously, she held leadership roles as Associate Director of Temple Music Prep and musical theater director at Gwynedd Mercy Academy High School.
