Parrish Baker

Parrish Baker is a Professor of Interactive Design and Game Development at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), serving since 2016. He holds an M.F.A. in Animation from SCAD and a B.A. in Speech from the University of Montevallo. His professional roles include Lead Character Artist at Michael J. Brown Productions, Look Development Artist at Brazen Animation Studios, and Owner/Creative Director of Pbrane Productions, LLC.

His research and teaching focus on 3D character design, creature creation, and look development, preparing students for careers in 3D modeling and production. He develops instructional materials and teaches courses on 3D modeling techniques, UV mapping, and texture painting. Baker advises SCAD’s CGI Guild student organization.

Notable awards include the 2015 Best of Screening Award for his work “Prosopon” at WonderRoot’s Film Festival and the 2015 Chair Select Award from SCAD. His professional experience spans freelance video production, commercial video production, and high-poly character sculpting for film.
