Professor Parminder Bhachu is a Professor of Sociology at Clark University, specializing in migration, diaspora studies, and cultural creativity. She is renowned for coining the concept of 'twice migrants,' exploring multiply migrant groups' resilience and innovative contributions to global economies. Her work emphasizes diasporic collaboration, open-source sharing, and the intersection of migration with cultural and technical capital.

Research Interests: Bhachu investigates how migrants navigate uncertainty through creativity, focusing on diasporic identity, cultural reproduction, and transnational networks. Luce Professorship in Cultural Identities and Global Processes and directed Clark University’s Women’s Studies program.
