Parag Joshi

Parag Joshi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Cardiology. He specializes in heart disease, preventive cardiology, abnormal cholesterol, and noninvasive imaging.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in business and finance with a minor in biology from Trinity University
• Medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine
• Internal Medicine Residency at Emory University School of Medicine
• Fellowship in cardiovascular prevention at Piedmont Heart Institute
• Inaugural Fellowship in cardiovascular prevention at Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Center for the Prevention of Heart Disease
• Fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
• Master's of Health Science from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

Research interests include preventive cardiology, early atherosclerosis detection, abnormal cholesterol management, and noninvasive imaging techniques to combat heart attacks and strokes. His work bridges clinical practice and research to address familial and early-onset cardiovascular risks.

Dr. Joshi serves as an Assistant Editor for Circulation and contributes as an ad hoc reviewer for journals such as the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. He is actively involved in academic leadership as Director of Cardiology Grand Rounds and maintains memberships in professional societies including the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and the American Heart Association.
