Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Brickner

Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Brickner is a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Cardiology, holding the Charles B. Mullins, M.D. Professorship in Clinical Practice and Teaching in Cardiology. She serves as Medical Director of the Cardiovascular (Echocardiography) Laboratory at Parkland Health and Hospital Systems, Director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Clinic, and Director of the Audre and Bernard Rapoport Center for Cardiovascular Disease Research.

Her educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, a medical degree from The Ohio State University, internal medicine training at the University of Michigan Hospitals, and cardiology fellowship at UT Southwestern, where she joined the faculty in 1991.

Dr. Brickner specializes in adult congenital heart disease, echocardiography, valvular heart disease, and heart disease in pregnancy, with extensive clinical focus on structural cardiac abnormalities and pregnancy-related cardiovascular conditions. Her work bridges diagnostic imaging and specialized cardiac care for complex patient populations.
