Paolo Zuccon is an Associate Professor at the University of Trento's Department of Physics since 2021. He holds a PhD in Experimental Particle Physics from the University of Perugia (2002) and a Laurea in Physics from the University of Padua (1998). His research focuses on astroparticle physics, cosmic rays, and detector development for space applications, including contributions to the AMS-02 experiment and low-power data acquisition systems. He has taught courses such as Physics Laboratory for DICAM and Laboratorio di Fisica I per fisici at the University of Trento.
Previously, he served as Assistant Professor at MIT (2012–2017), where he taught advanced electromagnetism and physics laboratory courses, and as a researcher at INFN in Perugia (2005–2011), focusing on neutrino physics and detector programming. He has also led the Italian team for the AMS-02 experiment.
His academic career includes postdoctoral research (2003–2005) and a specialization in physics at the University of Padua (1999). No scientific awards are explicitly mentioned, but his contributions to particle physics and space instrumentation are notable. His work spans detector innovation, cosmic ray measurements, and accelerator-based experiments.
