Paolo Pinton

Paolo Pinton is a Full Professor of General Pathology at the University of Ferrara. He has held leadership roles including Vice Director of the Department of Morphology, Surgery and Experimental Medicine (2013-2015), Director of the interdepartmental centre for the study of diabetes (2008-2017), and President of Aequotech, a spin-off of the University of Ferrara (2006-2014). His research focuses on cell biology, mitochondrial physiopathology, calcium signaling, and their roles in cancer and cell death.
