Pamfili Antipa is a faculty member at the London School of Economics (LSE), specifically in the Department of Economic History. With expertise in monetary and financial history, central banking, and the political economy of asset holdings, he explores how fiscal and monetary policies evolved during extreme events like wars and financial crises.
His research also examines the role of financial innovations in public debt management and how asset investments influence financial institutions and political decisions. He holds a PhD from the Paris School of Economics and has previously worked at the Banque de France and the Bank for International Settlements.
At LSE, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, including EH221 Boom and Bust: Macroeconomic History of the Modern World, EH402 Quantitative Analysis in Economic History I, and EH438 History of Financial Markets.
