Outi Donovan

Dr. Outi Donovan is a Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Griffith University's School of Government and International Relations. She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics. Her research focuses on conflict and post-conflict peacebuilding, gender and security, and international norms. She has conducted fieldwork in Bosnia, Libya, and Uganda. Donovan is affiliated with Griffith Asia Institute and the Centre for Governance and Public Policy.

Her key projects include a 2017 ESRC grant on Libya's post-uprising rebuilding and a 2021 study on virtual peace mediation's impact on women's participation. She has supervised doctoral research on topics like Myanmar's conflict-related sexual violence and Uganda's refugee policies. Donovan is a member of the Australian Political Studies Association and the International Studies Association.
