Dr. Hamida Milad Aburounia is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences at the University of Tripoli, Libya. Her expertise spans macroeconomics, econometrics, and cultural values in urban planning. She holds a PhD from the University of Salford (UK) with a thesis on social housing design in Libya. She has served in multiple capacities, including Ministry Advisor, Head of the Training & Research Center at her faculty, and consultant for UNDP and international organizations. Her research focuses on gender issues, sustainable development, and socio-cultural aspects of housing.

- Consultant for the National Economic Planning Council and Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD)
- Trained female candidates for electoral campaigns with UNDP and IRI
- Advisor on governance and media for the Ministry of Local Governance (2017–2018)
Grants & Projects: Led the EUROSCI Network Cluster in Libya (2020–present) to support academic collaboration. Her work includes drafting constitutional proposals and analyzing Libya's transition to competitive economies.
