Professor Omiyẹmi Green is a cultural historian, dramaturg, and director at the College of William & Mary, holding joint appointments in Theatre & Performance and Africana Studies. She is the inaugural editor-in-chief of the Black Theatre Review and has authored nineteen publications in journals like Theater: Yale’s Journal of Criticism and August Wilson Journal. Her research focuses on Black Theatre across the African Diaspora, with global presentations and advocacy for equitable representation in arts education.
Education:

- M.F.A. in Theatre Education, Virginia Commonwealth University (2003)
Research & Leadership: Her work emphasizes Black Theatre pedagogy and production, increasing African American/Black Theatre productions at W&M by 60% (2010–2020). She directed the Program in Africana Studies (2016–2022) and currently oversees the Art & Science Exchange as a Provost Faculty Fellow. She also leads Sitelines BLM and directed the feature film The Taylows.

Labs & Teams: Collaborates with institutions like the eta Creative Arts Foundation (Chicago) and Cadence Cinema, Film & TV. Active in community-university partnerships to center Black cultural narratives.
