Omie Hsu is a Lecturer in Liberal Arts at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) and a PhD candidate in Political Science at the University of Chicago. Their academic work centers critical pedagogy, queer of color critique, and intersections of race, gender, and political theory. They teach courses such as Top: Queer of Color Critique, Critical Game Studies, and Asian American Studies, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary sociopolitical issues.

Teaching & Projects: Taught over 10 undergraduate courses on queer theory, Asian American studies, and political philosophy. Designed self-authored syllabi blending theory and activism. Co-designed The Parasite ARG to address urgent global issues like climate change and structural inequality through immersive learning.
Labs/Teams: Collaborated with Game Changer Chicago, a University of Chicago initiative focused on participatory game design for social justice.
