V. Jo Hsu is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Rhetoric and Writing and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. They are core faculty for the Center for Asian American Studies and a leading scholar in trans, queer, and disability studies.
- Education: Ph.D. and M.F.A. from Pennsylvania State University
Research Focus: Their work examines how stories shape policy and culture, particularly through trans of color critique, crip theory, and racialized medical rhetorics. Current projects analyze anti-trans politics, chronic illness narratives, and intersectional approaches to justice.
