Professor Omar Usmani is a Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI), Imperial College London, and Consultant Physician at the Royal Brompton Hospital. He leads the Clinical Research Group within NHLI's Airway Disease Section and is Co-Director of Imperial's Network of Excellence in Aerosols and Health. His expertise spans inhaled drug delivery, small airways physiology, and tele-monitoring. He holds leadership roles in global societies like ISAM (President-elect) and ERS (former Head of Assembly 5). Key awards include the Thomas T. Mercer Award (2015) and FERS (2019).
