Oluwabunmi Ogungbe is an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and Bloomberg School of Public Health, with faculty affiliations at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity and associate faculty status at the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology, and Clinical Research. She is a nationally recognized cardiovascular nurse scientist dedicated to advancing cardiometabolic outcomes through interdisciplinary research.

Her research focuses on digital health technologies, community engagement, and implementation science to address cardiovascular health disparities. Key areas include culturally tailored hypertension interventions, diversity in clinical trials, and multilevel epidemiologic analyses. She leads NIH- and AHA-funded projects examining post-COVID cardiac sequelae and global hypertension management strategies in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Dr. Ogungbe has received prestigious awards including the American Heart Association Early Career Award, Global Health Equity Scholarship from Johns Hopkins Alliance for a Healthier World, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honors Society recognition. She contributes to national cardiovascular policy as a leader in the American Heart Association and Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association, and serves on Hypertension journal editorial teams.
