Erin Spaulding

Erin Spaulding, PhD, BSN, RN is an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and Associate Faculty at the Bloomberg School of Public Health's Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology, and Clinical Research. She serves as Director of the Long-term Wearable Study Core in the ARIC Neurocognitive Study (2024-2028) and co-investigator in the American Heart Association's Center for Mobile Technologies to Achieve Equity in Cardiovascular Health.

Her research focuses on digital literacy for aging populations, health equity interventions, cardiovascular disease prevention, and human-centered design in chronic disease management. She specializes in leveraging wearable technologies and telehealth platforms to address healthcare disparities among adults aged 80+.

She has led studies on telehealth adoption disparities, digital health engagement post-AMI, and cost-effective mHealth implementations. Her work bridges clinical practice with technological innovation, emphasizing equitable care delivery models.
