Olsen Dag

Olsen Dag is currently Rector at the University of Tromsø (2021–present) and a Professor of Biomedical Physics at the University of Bergen. He previously served as Rector of the University of Bergen (2013–2020) and Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Bergen (2010–2013). His academic career spans leadership roles in medical and radiation therapy physics, including Head of Department at the Institute of Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital (2004–2010), and Professor of Medical Physics at the University of Oslo (2000–2010).

He has received notable awards, including the 2008 Klaas Breur Gold Medal and membership in the Russian Association of Therapeutic and Radiation Oncology (2010). His work focuses on medical applications of physics, particularly in cancer treatment and radiation therapy.
