Michael Baumann

Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h.c. Michael Baumann is a leading figure in radiotherapy and oncology, currently serving as Chairman and Scientific Director of the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) since 2016. Previously, he held multiple key roles at Technische Universität Dresden, including Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus and Director of the Institute for Radiooncology at the Helmholtz Center Dresden-Rossendorf.
