Olivia Basu

Dr. Olivia Basu is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Freiburg, affiliated with the Cluster of Excellence liv MatS (Freiburg Center for Interactive Materials and Bioinspired Technologies). Her research focuses on energy autonomy concepts, including photobatteries, photoactuators, and photoelectrochemical H₂O₂ production. She is currently developing and optimizing anode and cathode materials for aqueous Zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) to enhance their capacity, power density, and longevity for use in integrated solar energy storage systems.

She holds the prestigious Agnes Pockels Fellowship (2023), recognizing her contributions to materials science and energy research.
