Oliver Boughton

Dr Oliver Boughton serves as an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow in the Department of Surgery & Cancer at Imperial College London's Faculty of Medicine and is a Specialist Registrar in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery on the Irish Higher Surgical Training Programme. His work bridges clinical orthopaedics with advanced engineering approaches to optimize surgical outcomes.

Research focuses on bone quality assessment in orthopaedic interventions, integrating Clinical Sciences with engineering disciplines. His work spans Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Materials Engineering to address challenges in trauma surgery and musculoskeletal health, with particular emphasis on hand surgery applications developed during international electives in India, Ireland, Canada, and the UK.
