Prof. Dr. Oliver Bakreski is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy, University St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, where he has held academic roles since 1998. He leads the Institute for Security, Defence and Peace and has served as Vice Dean for Teaching since 2017. His career includes roles such as Head of Postgraduate Studies in Security (2007–2014) and Head of the Institute (2014–2017). Bakreski holds a PhD in Security Studies (2005) and has authored/co-authored over 20 publications in security, defense, and policy analysis.
