Prof. Dr. Goran Zendelovski holds the position of Associate Professor at the Institute for Security, Defence and Peace within the Faculty of Philosophy at the University Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. He has been affiliated with the institution since 2003, progressing from a junior assistant to his current role. His academic journey includes a PhD in Defense (2003) and prior degrees from the same university. He leads postgraduate studies in security and teaches courses on globalization, defense policies, and peace economics.
Research interests focus on security policy formulation, leadership theory, globalization impacts, governance, and geopolitical dynamics. His work explores how global processes influence security frameworks, particularly in the Western Balkans and EU contexts. Notable publications analyze EU security strategies, Balkan geopolitics, and cyber defense.
Zandelovski has contributed to over 15 scholarly articles and chapters, with recent work addressing great power competition, cybersecurity, and post-Brexit security.
