Olga Piaskowska

Dr. hab., Associate Professor Olga Piaskowska at SWPS University is a lawyer, attorney, and academic leader affiliated with the Institute of Law and the Faculty of Law in Warsaw, Department of Private Law. She has co-developed Poland’s first lawyering skills program and serves as the Academic Ombudsman at SWPS University since 2022.

Her research focuses on civil law, procedural justice, and the intersection of AI with legal education. Notably, she investigates how tools like ChatGPT affect plagiarism and academic integrity in legal writing.

Scientific Awards:

• 2014 Złote Skrzydła (Gold Wings) award for best doctoral thesis
• 2015 Rising Stars – Lawyers Leaders of Tomorrow Award

At SWPS University, she teaches civil procedure, legal skills, eristics, rhetoric, and legal argumentation. She supervised the Student Legal Clinic’s Civil Law Section and chaired the Student Disciplinary Committee (2016–2022). Formerly, she worked as a Senior Assistant at Poland’s Supreme Court (2011–2021).
